Alastair Sutherland is a Vancouver based digital media artist with experience and skill in creating video for both marketing content and shooting/editing documentary productions. Alastair completed the Digital Film Production Program at Langara College , Vancouver, in 2012. His first film, while a student, 'Billy, Bubbles & Balthar', was selected to the Columbia/ Gorge Film Festival in the same year. His second documentary, 'Hope Cinema', was selected to the Doc. BC showcase in June 2014. Since this time Alastair has worked with numerous organizations (shown below) creating both photographic and video content for web platforms, in addition to, shooting & editing a variety of passion projects including his latest work, 'The Troubadour & the Tallow Candle', a self produced documentary completed in the Spring of 2019 . As a freelance videographer, Alastair has over 60 productions to his credit and supplements this practical experience with a Degree in Education (B.R.E.) from the University of British Columbia.

Subscribing to this belief while maintaining the highest level of production value is a challenging proposition for any filmmaker but, one that Alastair relishes. 


Alastair currently lives in Tsawwassen, British Columbia, with his wife and two daughters.
